Bellewstown RacecourseBellewstown racecourse is 23 miles north of Dublin, off the main Dublin/Belfast road and seven miles south of Drogheda.This beautiful Co Meath course, is beautifully situated in a perfect rural setting with great views of the Mountains of Mourne to the north and the Irish sea to the east. Bellewstown has two festivals in the year in June and August. Bellewstown is a sharp left handed oval of 9 furlongs with a run in of 3 furlongs and an uphill finish. There are 5 hurdles on the circuit. Barney Curley is reported to have pulled off one of the biggest betting coups in Ireland with Yellow Sam at Bellewstown in 1975.
