The Navan racecourse is found 2 miles from Navan town, 30 miles due north of Dublin City on the N3. Navan Racecourse is 181 acres set in the heart of Co. Meath. Navan is a left handed oval of 1 1/2 miles with a run in of 3 1/2 furlongs and an uphill finish.
Navan Racecourse is mainly a National Hunt track and stages around 16 meetings a year. There have been many of Ireland's best horses to have run and won at the track, with the Arkle who won the very first race of his career at the course in 1963. It is not uncommon for horses that win at Navan to go on to perform very well in major races in the UK.
