Sligo RacecourseThe racecourse is located at Cleveragh, half a mile from the town centre, just off the Dublin-Sligo Road. Sligo Town, is in the heart of Yeats country, and is regarded as one of the most scenic racecourses in the country. Sligo is a right handed oval of 1 mile with a run in of 2 furlongs and a tough uphill finish.Racing at Sligo has been staged at the course for over 180 years; it was set up in an era when racing was at a high point in the country.
