Tipperary Racecourse

The Tipperary racecourse is situated just off the main Tipperary-Limerick road. Tipperary is a left handed oval of 1 1/4 miles with run in of 2 1/2 furlongs. The first known meeting of Tipperary Races was at Barronstown Course on Monday, 27 March 1848.

Tipperary Racecourse has attracted some of the very best equine stars over the years and some of the best stars of the present day include, Isatabraq, Limestone Lad, Grimes, Ansar, High Chaparral and Hawk Wing have all been successful at the course. Tipperary Racecourse is suitable for both National Hunt and Flat racing and is regarded as one of Ireland's leading summer racetracks.
